Botanist Round Butterfly Vase

Jonathan Adler Vase Gold Ceramic. Dimensions: Ø 20 x H 23 cm. This porcelain vase is decorated with butterflies. As though on display in a natural history museum, these golden insects form a quirky and original pattern which contrasts with the traditional style of this white porcelain vase. Jonathan Adler's world mixes extravagant elements with classic, sophisticated style. He makes elegance flirt with relaxation and humour. His world offers a certain mixture of glamour and American modernism from the mid-20th century, pop culture, and the Palm Springs version of La Dolce Vita. Jonathan Adler: Today, we live in an era where everything goes with everything, where opposites are mixed, pastel with the most flashy colours, vintage with contemporary, what's expensive with what's not. Ceramicist, designer, decorator and internationally renowned interior designer, Jonathan Adler first developed a passion for terracotta and exhibited his first pottery collection at Barneys in New York in 1993. Earth is the basis of my work and always will be, affirms Jonathan Adler. For each ceramic piece from the collection, a prototype is made by hand in Jonathan Adler's workshop located in the achingly hip SoHo neighbourhood of New York.
